Aeroméxico Launches Nonstop Mexico City–Nassau Flights

Starting March 19, 2027 Aeroméxico offers daily nonstop service between Mexico City and Nassau, with 9:10 a.m. departures from Mexico City and 4:15 p.m. flights out of Nassau. The new link gives travelers a direct gateway to Nassau, from where they can hop on a domestic flight or ferry to reach Andros’s three separate airports.

Fresh Creek Bridge Closure Cuts Central Andros Road Link

The Fresh Creek Bridge was condemned after a structural failure, severing Central Andros’ main road to the airport and government offices. Travelers now must arrange separate vehicles on each side and cross by small boat until a temporary or ferry solution is in place. Plan your itinerary accordingly and check with your lodge for updated transport options.

Boat Permits and Anchorage Fees Take Effect April 1, 2026

If you’re heading to Bimini by private vessel, a new 30‑day permit now costs $150 for up to 30 ft, $250 for 30–50 ft, $350 for 50–100 ft, and $600 for larger boats. Anchorage outside a marina is $100 for 30–100 ft, and you’ll need to report your return via CBP ROAM or the Everglades–Fort Lauderdale hotline.
